Toby

Toby crossed the Rainbow Bridge peacefully at home on September 25, 2019, joining his Grandpa and many of his fur buddies. Toby was rescued in April 2006, when he was about 3 months old and would have been 14 in January. Although there were several family members in the home when he was a puppy, he chose to share an unbreakable bond with his Mama, Melissa. He instantly stole her heart & became her shadow. He quickly began building loving relationships with everyone he ever came in contact with whether it was family & friends, kids, all the faces at the vets office, or whoever’s house he could make his way to for a surprise visit or anywhere he thought he could make more friends. Toby touched the life’s of so many in his short 13 1/2 years and was so full of selfless love. He loved his toys, blankets, and any bed he could get away with sneaking on to cuddle.  Toby didn’t take long to prove to be more then just a dog that legends are made of. He led a brave, beautiful life, always trying to protect everyone he considered Family. Toby was such an easy dog to train & please and a simple 5 minute car ride would bring him so much excitement and joy. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies during his life including fetch, tug a war, swimming, going to the park, traveling on vacations, and being able to go visit Family & friends. The joy he brought his Mom along with many others is beyond words, as is the pain felt when he left. Toby was definitely one of a kind and will be greatly missed by many, but no one more so then his Mom. He was her world and thru thick and thin they always stuck together and he always proved what true unconditional love was. The pain she has felt without him may seem unbearable at times, but it in no way would compare to her never having him in her life. Toby leaves behind his Mom, Grandma, several Aunts & Uncles, Cousins, and many amazing friends he made over the years.
