Czar Patch
Czar ‘The Tripawd’ Patch
Czar was one of the lucky ones; loved from the time he was a puppy until the time he closed his eyes the very last time. Czar had a normal happy puppyhood, chewing on everything he was not supposed to. He helped to welcome two beautiful baby human brothers into the world and watched them grow. By the time the second baby came, Czar had injured his knee playing with a dog that lived next door. Surgery to correct the injury did not take and nerve damage set in, resulting in a full leg amputation. Recovery was long and difficult but with a supportive family he not only pulled through he showed the world just how resilient he was. As with many families, divorce tore this one apart; but the love his mom had for him ensured he would be taken care of despite the split. Eventually Czar’s family grew again as he accepted a new daddy and human brother. Czar’s mom began to volunteer with animal rescue groups and pit bull education groups, as did Czar as he was quite the ambassador for the pit bull breed. Czar and his mom would travel to events and Czar would give out hugs and kisses and many times they would hear stories of inspiration, thanks to Czar. Czar’s mom then took to facebook, hoping to inspire more people, share his story and let people know more about disabled pets. She never expected the following of fans and amazing friends that would come. Czar would come to be featured in two issues of American Dog Magazine. Czar’s mom and dad would go on to foster several puppies until it was time for them to find their own forever home and Czar was quite the surrogate dad. Finally he welcomed one more human brother and lived out the remaineder of his life in the comfort of his home with his family. Czar enjoyed his very comfortable life, often stealing the majority of a king size bed and suckering dad out of food and snacks with the best “puppy-dog eyes” you ever saw. They all enjoyed Halloween and dressing Czar up was always a hoot. Czar was not just a dog, he was family.
