Champ Larson
Champ came to us as a senior rescue in 2008 after his orginal rescuer passed away. He was originally rescued around 2000 and was well cared for in his new home. Even though he lived in an apartment he had lots of dog friends and he made several trips to the doggie park every week.
When he came to us he fit right in with our other critters but didn’t know at first how to handle our 5 acres and a pond. He wasn’t used to going out without a collar and leash. It didn’t take him long to head out on his own to explore the fields with the rest of his new pack.
Champ didn’t know a stranger and on many of our trips he had to meet and greet everyone he came into contact with, whether it be man or beast. He was the gentlest of souls who epitomized the character of a Golden Retriever. The only thing he ever had a problem with was the geese who would land on his pond.
God Speed Champ, you are truly missed by all….
