Smurfette HoepfnerFebruary 10, 2017
Smurfy or Midgie girl passed away suddenly on Friday February 10, 2017. Smurfy found her forever home with us in September of 2014. From the beginning this little munchkin cat has had a very special place in our hearts, it didn't take long for us to completely fall in love with her. Her Mommy, Elizabeth loved her more than anything, they formed a very special bond. She was very proud of her tiny little cat! Midgie always knew when it was bedtime and would walk through the house calling for her momma to head to bed. And when Elizabeth would beat her to it, she would call for Smurfy and she'd come running as fast as her little legs would take her, climb up in bed and there they would cuddle all night long.
Smurfette also leaves behind a Grandma, a Grandpa, her Brother Gray and her kitty sister Cutie. They also loved her very much. Smurfy, was always very demanding of her time, especially when someone would approach the bedroom. She would run as fast as she could, jump up on the bed and demand to be brushed. She would guilt you into it! There she would flip and flop, all while looking completely adorable!
We will miss seeing her walk around the house carrying a puff ball in her mouth, chasing her tail over and over again, chomping her food and leaving crumbs behind, licking plastic bags, and chasing her sister, Cutie, around the house. And lastly, those beautiful eyes! What we wouldn't do to see them light up one more time. Rest In Peace sweet Midgie girl. You're truly one in a million. Gone but never forgotten. We love you and miss you so very much!
